Yarra Valley Practitioners Project

The not-for-profit Yarra Valley Practitioners Project offes free counselling to Black Saturday survivors.

Joane Goudling has been providing pro bono workshops in SleepTalk™, for families affected by the bushfires.

The Goulding SleepTalk™ for Children process is about developing a child's emotional resilience — the minds firewall. Created and taught by Joane Goulding for over 35 years, it has been described as a ‘powerful process of positive parenting’.  In her published book Joane describes how parents can assist their child to develop or retain a positive and confident, happy self image. The process is simple and easy to use, taking only 3-4 minutes each evening while the child is asleep. Parents can assist their children to become calm, happier and deal with their world. The process is especially useful when dealing with trauma, stress and behaviour issues.  Its suits children of all ages from gifted to the talented and the challenged. Because it is non-intrusive, ethical and safe, with the benefits lasting forever, the Goulding SleepTalk™ process is endorsed by the Medical and Psychological Professions.

The training that Joane is offering will be available to all parents. There will be 3 sessions of 2 hours offered over 3 months. For more information about the process contact Joane on: (03) 9802 6962

It has been 16 months since YVPP commenced and all your combined efforts and hard work helping the Yarra Valley communities recover after the bushfires have been recognised with  Karen Dickson being a finalist in the 2010 Premiers Community Leadership Awards and YVPP being acknowledged for the contribution we have made.

Without your continued support and effort we would not have made the difference to the communities that we have and for this we thank you.
